I was a 16 year old rape victim. My physical, emotional and psychological health were impacted and my life changed. After that, I decided that I will either kill or die before I am violated again. I decided to be a safe space for anyone in my life with an abuse story to tell, and doesn't know who to tell or how to say it. I fiercely protect my body and autonomy, the way I will teach others to do the same. "Punish Predators" is my mantra and prayer for God to truly give these monsters what they deserve.
Punish Predators, by Hazel Green
“Predators should be held accountable for the pain they’ve caused to the living and our ancestors cry for retribution. Children, women, teens, men, femmes, nonbinary people and those of every queer identity have been physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually abused in this system of patriarchy that frequently protects the predator. Only 12% of child sexual abuse is reported to police. Of every 1,000 sexual assaults, 975 of the perpetrators walk free. Some nonbinary or transitioning folks who have been targeted and murdered are misgendered or posthumously disrespected. Punish Predators is a reminder that rapists, molesters and abusers have no place in a safe and liberated society. I hope to hear this chant at rallies or see these words waving on flags for anyone who has become prey to the predators of the world.”
